When i use the key items, it gives you key items that aren't SS/HG's.

Why can i not see the pokemon names properly? Or any other items or things

I am still editing the names you can not see the real characters because you have not got a Japanese language on your PC. (I am trying to get in contact with someone who has already done this before but no luck.)

This is what ur looking for, i do have the japanese language installed on my pc.

You need to install the japanese language pack onto your pc like this:

Navigate to the Control Panel by clicking the Start Button, then clicking "Control Panel." If you are using Classic View, you should click the Start Button, then "Settings," then "Control Panel."

Click on "Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options," then click on "Regional and Language Options." If you are using classic view, "Regional and Language Options" will be available directly from the Control Panel. A new window will open.

Click on the tab labeled "Languages," then click the checkbox labeled "Install files for East Asian Languages." A window will pop up to warn you that you will need at least 230 MB of free disk space to install the files.

Click OK to close the popup.

Click OK on the “Regional and Language Options” window to begin the installation. Be patient, as it can take several minutes. Once all the files have finished copying, a popup window will tell you to reboot your computer to complete the installation.

Reboot your computer.


Then download a program called AppLocale and use it to open the pokesav and you will see the japanese characters

My PC is already Japanese.

I have vista 64 bit. I can't add additional language packs. I won't let me

You have to wait another week for me to release Pokésav HG/SS v0.03 English (all the Pokémon & Moves will be English)

And it's not even the Japanese character things. i dont even know what the heck they are. i found the tutorial to fix it on vista but it didnt work

What you tried to see there is Japanese characters but your computer does not support the Japanese Language.

Coolio, I kinda got a problem using it though ><

When I finish and save what I changed, and I try and start up, the game acts as if there wasn't a save anymore, and tries to make me start over =(

Does that mean I did something wrong? o.o

Hmm I dont think I can use it. My PC doesn't exactly support it. But that's k! im gonna wait for the real one so my wanting to play is even greater.
